Installation for four slide projectors, two slide dissolve units and 320 slides

80 different views of a residential courtyard (Hof) at night are projected on two screens in a continuous dissolve sequence. The repetitive turning on and off of the lights in the different apartments is echoed by the slide projectors going on and off and the clicking sounds of the carousels turning. Eventually the sequence becomes abstract and contemplative; watching the oscillating windows against the dark background recalls perhaps the wonder at seeing a constellation in the night sky.
